First, contact the hospital's billing department to make sure they are sending the bill to both Medicare and to any other supplemental insurance company you have.
Second, call 1-800-Medicare to make sure that the services you received are covered by Medicare. (Medicare says it is our responsibility to ask if Medicare covers the service before it is provided to us.)
Finally, if something else is happening, you can call SHINE at 305-670-6500 extension 256 for English or 305-670-6500 extension 276 for Spanish and we will get involved to advocate on your behalf.
If you discover that you do have a bill but cannot pay it, you can arrange a payment plan with the biller.

8. I go to a senior center but I don't like the food. Is there anything I can do?
Concerns about the food you are receiving should be directed to your Site Manager or to the Project Director of the
agency from whom you receive the meal. Each meal site has formal procedures for dealing with suggestions as well as complaints
which will be initiated in order to give you a response. You should join the mealsite's Site Council which is a forum from which
you can make your preferences known. Meals must meet very strict nutritional requirements as part of the effort to make certain that
all participants are receiving a nutritious, balanced meal each day.
