Physical fitness services are defined as activities for elders to improve their strength, flexibility,
endurance, muscle tone, range of motion, reflexes, cardiovascular health, and/or other aspects of
physical functioning. |

Physical Therapy
|
Physical therapy is a service prescribed by a physician that is necessary to produce specific functional
outcomes in ambulation, muscle control, and postural development, and prevent or reduce further physical disability. |

Recreation
|
Recreation is defined as participation in or attending at planned leisure events such as games,
sports, arts, and crafts, theater, trips, and other relaxing social activities. The purpose is to
offer activities of interest for participants, increase physical and mental stimulation,
prevent isolation, and encourage socialization. |
